We put bamboo shades on our drenced-in-morning-sun front porch and it makes all the difference in the dog days of summer. We took some a.m. pics of the kiddos. Graydie has the lion’s share of the pics here- Gabe makes some cameos towards the end.

Today the lovely wife and I took Gabe to a live show of the Backyardigans Live. It was the first time we have taken him to anything like that- he hasn’t even been to a movie in the theater before.

A big hackberry tree fell on our roof early this spring. There wasn’t much damage to speak of, but I needed to remove a small stretch of chainlink fence so the stump grinding machine could do its thing.
